Welcome to the Ashtabula Metropolitan Housing Authority Website. We continuously seek ways to improve our services, and it shows. For five years in a row, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has recognized us a "high performing" housing authority.

The Ashtabula Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) provides safe, clean, affordable housing to citizens with low or moderate income, as well as for citizens with special needs and elderly citizens. We operate 625 housing units, including single-family homes, semi-detached homes, 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom units in and around the Ashtabula area. Bardmoor Estates, Gulfview Towers and Cedarwood Estates are a few of the AMHA's developments. The AMHA is funded by the Housing and Urban Development department of the United States Federal Government. With this funding, we are able to subsidize rent and some costs of living for area residents who meet the program's qualifications. Please click here or on the "How to Apply" button on the left to learn how to apply to the AMHA.

The Ashtabula Metropolitan Housing Authority is proud to be a part of this growing community. AMHA is working with all the people of this county to rebuild Ashtabula County's public homes. We strive to build beyond the bricks and mortar of a house. Our goal is to provide subsidized housing that is comfortable, safe and affordable.

We're part of Ashtabula County: part of the growth, part of the development and part of the rebuilding. AMHA is a leader among all Housing Authorities on a national level. We show how communication, partnering, intelligent management, administration, and systems can make a positive and effective difference. Together, we can rebuild our neighborhoods and make them integral parts of our community.
